LensCrafters - Licensed Optician

Position Overview Licensed Optician – Part‑time at LensCrafters within Macy’s Department Stores. Responsibilities Welcome customers and set expectations. Custom‑fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses. Act as a leader in optical acumen. Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs. Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions. Accurately and thoroughly use technology under time pressure and high customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools. Proactively explore root cause of issues, be forward‑thinking and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, solution‑driven. Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities. Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies. Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, attractiveness and organization. Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices. Be resourceful, self‑motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement and results. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management. Basic Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. State licensure. Optical dispensing experience. Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder. Knowledge of current store merchandise. Strong basic math skills. Awareness of current fashion trends. Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPad or tablet. Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators. Embrace new technology and change. Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service and retail experience. Compensation Pay Range: $34.14 per hour. May include a competitive bonus and/or commission plan. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off, vacation, and various employee discounts.
