Actalent Pharmacy Technician

Actalent is looking for an overnight pharmacy technician located in Northlake, TX for a closed-door pharmacy!

Job duties:

• Process new patient registrations using Walgreens prescription data entry procedures and guidelines
• Handle patient prescription requests in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Enter refill orders, troubleshoot missing or incomplete prescription information, and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes)
• Resolve data entry-related exceptions
• Operate automated fulfillment machinery and transition inventory through workflow stages with a strong focus on quality control
• Count, fill, and label prescriptions; package and ship medications
• Clean and help maintain machinery and ensure an organized, safe work area
• Resolve Third Party Rejects by reviewing requirements, correcting information, and resubmitting claims for processing
• Support pharmacists on-site and at other locations; escalate issues to senior staff as needed

Schedule/pay:

• 21+/hour

Qualifications:

• Maintain active pharmacy technician licensure/certification as required
• High School Diploma or GED
• Active Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Texas (required)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
• 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Northlake, TX.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $21.60/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Northlake, TX.
