MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST (ASCP/REG) - FREESTANDING EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Responsibilities This opportunity is part-time at 20 hours per week, offers part-time benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. Wellington Regional Medical Center is a 235-bed acute care hospital located in Wellington, Florida. Performs and interprets diagnostic procedures in all areas of Clinical Laboratory: chemistry, hematology, serology, coagulation, urinalysis, blood banking, and microbiology. Maintains daily quality control charts and preventive maintenance records. Assists in orientation of new employees. Provides care for patients from newborn to geriatric age; may perform phlebotomy. Cross‑trains to other job descriptions and floats to other departments as directed by Laboratory Manager. Works under direct supervision of Lab Section Supervisor/Lab Manager and is accountable to Director of Laboratory Services.
