About the Role:

The 1st Shift Paint Line Support role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the paint production line during the first shift. This position focuses on providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance support to maintain high-quality paint application and production standards. The role requires close collaboration with production teams to identify and resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring consistent output. The successful candidate will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring equipment performance and suggesting enhancements. Ultimately, this role supports the overall manufacturing process by maintaining optimal paint line functionality and product quality.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with paint or coating processes.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with industrial equipment.
• Ability to work a first shift schedule reliably.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical certification or training related to paint application or industrial maintenance.
• Experience with automated paint line equipment and control systems.
• Knowledge of quality control procedures in a manufacturing setting.
• Familiarity with troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
• Previous experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor paint line equipment and processes to ensure proper operation and product quality.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for paint line machinery and systems during the first shift.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to quickly resolve operational issues and minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to maintain equipment reliability.
• Document and report any equipment malfunctions, process deviations, or quality concerns to management.
• Assist in implementing process improvements and safety protocols related to paint line operations.
• Support training efforts for new team members on paint line procedures and equipment use.

Skills:

The required skills enable the candidate to effectively monitor and maintain paint line equipment, ensuring consistent product quality and operational efficiency. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities are essential for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues quickly, reducing downtime.
