Job Description:General Cardiology PhysicianDepartment of MedicineHarvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC)Harvard Medical School (HMS)The Cardiovascular Institute and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) are seeking candidates for full-time faculty positions in clinical cardiology to develop varied consultative practiced within a growing and dynamic academic Division. All applicants must be board certified or eligible in Cardiology, as well as eligible for Commonwealth of Massachusetts medical licensure. Level 3 training in echocardiography is preferred. An academic teaching appointment at the level of Instructor, Assistant, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School (HMS) will be commensurate with experience.Responsibilities will include outpatient consultations on the main campus of BIDMC and one of its nearby community sites, as well as attending on the cardiology inpatient services and the Cardiac Direct Access Center. The applicant is expected to be actively engaged in teaching fellows, residents medical students and nurse practitioners -in-training. HMFP physicians have faculty affiliations with Harvard Medical School (HMS) and provide care throughout BILH system and additional hospitals across Massachusetts.Pay Range:$170,000 - $742,000The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations.
