Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Aerospace Value Engineering & Manufacturing Optimization Engineer to support complex aerospace and defense programs. The role will focus on Design for Manufacturing (DFM), design-to-cost, product redesign, and should-cost analysis.
The engineer will work with engineering teams, aerospace customers, and suppliers to support new product development, cost-reduction initiatives, aftermarket sustainment, and manufacturing transitions while maintaining product performance, quality, reliability, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and value engineering initiatives.
Perform design-to-cost and should-cost analysis for aerospace products.
Evaluate product designs, manufacturing processes, and supplier cost structures.
Support product redesign and cost-reduction projects.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
Support new product development and manufacturing transition activities.
Ensure quality, reliability, performance, and aerospace requirements are maintained.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
Strong experience in aerospace manufacturing, value engineering, or manufacturing optimization.
Hands-on experience with DFM, design-to-cost, cost reduction, and should-cost analysis.
Experience working with manufacturing processes and supplier cost structures.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Experience supporting military or aerospace products is highly relevant.
