Director Of Facilities ManagementMomentum is hiring a Director of Facilities Management to manage construction and improvement projects, while providing senior administrative direction and leadership over strategic and long-range planning and ongoing operational activities of Momentum's facilities management division.Benefits (Full-time):Medical/Dental/Vision InsuranceLife Assistance ProgramFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Paid HolidaysPaid Vacation/Sick/Bereavement leaveCredit Union Benefits and DiscountsRetirement Plan (403B)Employer Sponsored Life InsuranceDirector Of Facilities Management Essential Responsibilities:Establishes, implements, and monitors short-range and long-range project goals, budgets, schedules, progress, and strategiesReviews the submission and tracking of the Capital Outlay Program, Scheduled Maintenance Program, Hazardous Materials Removal Program, Five Year Capital Construction Plan, Space Inventory, and other state or federal programsDirects the maintenance of the department's web site and archives of as-built plans, soil reports, legal site descriptions, environmental reports, Environmental Impact Reports and College Master PlansDirects, oversees, and evaluates the performance of the facilities team, consultants, contractors, and personnelProvides policy recommendations, technical assistance, and information to the Executive Team, and others on capital and facilities management programs, project status, issues needing attention, evaluation, resolution, and decisionsCoordinates with the accounting and information technology staff the maintenance and modification of computerized records, management information systems, and controls to ensure the efficient processing of invoices and claims for assigned programsIntegrates operations and drives collaboration across Momentum agenciesEvaluates policies and procedures and implements changes as needed; insures all elements of the facilities operation are consistent with best practicesEnsures all design and construction meets quality standards and expectationsMonitors capital and operating budgetsInsures compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulationsRepresents Momentum in meetings, hearings, and conferences with contractors; representatives from public agencies, regulatory agencies, business organizations and community groups; and the publicPerforms other duties as assigned to meet department and business needsDirector Of Facilities Management Education And Experience:A bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university preferably with a major in engineering, architecture, facilities management, construction management, or related field, requiredAdvanced degree in one of the aforementioned fields and/or a valid Certificate of Registration as a Professional Engineer by the California State Board of Registration of Civil and Professional Engineers, highly preferredFive (5) years of strategic and operational leadership experience in the management of multiple construction projects, maintenance, logistics, and safety in the disabilities field, requiredFive (5) years of recent, full-time, paid, professional-level experience in a facilities management position with responsibility for an integrated facility management program for an organization employing 500 or more employees, requiredExperience in supervising staff, including professional-level employees, requiredPublic agency experience in the disabilities field, preferredSkills And Knowledge:Ability to formulate a clear organizational vision and operational goals and objectives for the management of the Momentum's facilities management and construction programsAdminister and direct a multifaceted and complex facilities management and construction program through a combination of program managers, consultants, contractors, and staffEstablish and implement a comprehensive program of reporting and communicationDevelop and implement the operating policies required to achieve goals and objectivesAbility to anticipate conditions, plan ahead, and establish priorities; act independently and promptly to situations and eventsAbility to prepare and present effective oral and written communications, presentations, and reportsIntegrate technology into business decisions and operationsEffectively communicate highly technical information concisely and in understandable termsAbility to maintain effective working relationships with industry representatives, officials of public and private organizations, employees, co-workers, and the publicTravel to locations within and outside the Momentum's operating areaRequirements:Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, drug screening, physical exam, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United StatesAbility to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, walk, stand and sit for long periods of time, and lift up to fifty (50) poundsValid and current proof of legal right to drive in California;
