Project Manager – Construction Materials Testing (Kennesaw, Georgia) Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is actively seeking a CMT Project Manager to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. About Intertek‑PSI Intertek‑PSI is a US based provider of construction assurance, testing, and inspection in civil and commercial construction. Our services include construction materials testing, geotechnical services, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and specialty testing. Project Manager Responsibilities The Project Manager is responsible for managing Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspection (SI) projects throughout the greater Atlanta area. What You’ll Do Field engineering duties including data reduction, analysis, and fieldwork for commercial, industrial, retail, government, and office projects. Assist with project management and reporting. Conduct field inspections, sampling, and testing of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, and other materials. Prepare and review reports. Maintain client relations and provide consultations. Support other PSI members and promote overall company objectives. Prepare proposals and follow up. Handle billing, ensure projects stay within budget, and manage project closeout. Prepare change orders and document scope changes. Schedule and verify field testing and inspections; keep clients informed of progress. Train field staff on testing and inspection techniques according to ASTM, ACI, and other guidance. Assist other project managers and department managers with field, lab, and office tasks. Dispatch technicians to projects in the area. Minimum Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited engineering / ABET school. Minimum 2 years of experience in construction material testing and inspection. Basic math, calculator, and computer skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and understand work plans. Willingness to work off‑shifts and overtime. Valid driver’s license with reliable driving record. Up to 25% local travel. Preferred Requirements & Qualifications Construction materials testing project management experience. ICC/ACI/FDOT certifications. Drug-Free Workplace We are a drug‑free workplace.
