Program ManagerWaltonen is actively seeking a Program Manager to join our team!Job ResponsibilitiesReport to the Independence Tooling Operations Manager.Monitor, direct, and control manufacturing programs. Lead in the areas of cost, schedule, and performance.Direct a focused program, including strategic planning, analyzing program activities, expenses, and profits, and establishing goals.Plan and direct a group of individuals, monitoring their work and taking corrective actions when necessary.Ensure risks are properly managed and mitigated to avoid becoming issues. Risk management is critical to project success. Create a robust process for the identification, management, and mitigation of risk.The Program Manager must have strong practical experience in project management, gained by managing manufacturing-related projects.QualificationsKnowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques2+ years experience with automotive and/or aerospace fixtures requiredKnowledge of machining, tool build, welding and CMM processes in regards to timing, milestones, and deadlinesProficient in using Microsoft Office programsUnderstanding of the wider objectives of the programThe ability to find innovative ways to resolve problemsWillingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloadsAbility to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program managementRequires strong leadership and people skills.
