Summary You will serve as a SHIPFITTER LEADER in the DEPARTMENT OF NAVY, working at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Trident Refit Facility Bangor, and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility. Applicants will only be considered for positions within their own UIC (e.g., UIC 4523A). Overview Open–Closed Dates: 10/14/2025 to 10/13/2026. Salary: $30.11 to $50.37 per hour. Pay Scale: WL 10. Special authorities – Other special authority not listed elsewhere. Duties Provide guidance and direction to shipfitter shop personnel. Provide instruction for nuclear or non‑nuclear work of the Structural Group personnel. Prepare analysis of trade requirements using audits, surveillance, and incident reports. Interpretations and problem resolution for shop employees. Conditions of Employment Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
