Patrick Industries Corporate Office is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist to add to their growing team! The Supply Chain Specialist works to support the global supply chain of multiple product lines specific to a Group of Business Units to help increase efficiencies and decrease costs. In this role, the Specialist will provide support, guidance and strategic direction to Customers within the organization! Responsibilities and Duties: Reporting to the Director of Transportation, the Supply Chain Specialist will work closely with Business Units throughout the Organization, acting as a partner to do reporting work as it pertains to transportation to provide accurate and timely data to help Leaders make informed decisions.- Maintain dashboards providing Leadership visibility into transportation performance across Parcel, LTL, and TL modes, including cost per shipment, on-time delivery, claims, and carrier performance metrics.
- Serve as a key contributor in the implementation, optimization, and ongoing administration of the Transportation Management System (TMS), ensuring accurate rating, routing, freight audit visibility, and shipment tracking.
- Design and implement processes to gather, validate, and manage transportation data across Parcel, LTL, and TL carriers to improve reporting accuracy and decision-making.
- Perform ongoing reporting of freight spend (Parcel, LTL, TL), mode selection, carrier performance, accessorial charges, back orders, and delivery lead times to identify cost savings and service improvement opportunities.
- Assist in developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions related to transportation execution, TMS utilization, freight audit processes, and global trade compliance.
- Collaborate with Finance teams to ensure accurate freight accruals, vendor invoice reconciliation, freight audit resolution, and timely payment of carrier invoices.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field is preferred
- Prior experience in supply chain related field: purchasing, inventory management, warehousing and transportation etc, will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Proficiency in computer databases and logistics programs with the ability to do reporting is desired
- Experience in Power-BI is a strong plus
- Strong problem-solving aptitude
- Outstanding written and verbal communications and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization and beyond
- Driven and creative self-starter with passion to go above and beyond expectations
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills, with an affinity towards servicing customers and providing solutions
- A high level of personal integrity (self-esteem, confidence, honesty, and respect) are necessary qualities
- Self-motivated to work independently in a busy environment with changing priorities and the ability to adapt quickly
