Farmers Insurance District Office of John Meikle is looking for a motivated, people-oriented Insurance Sales Associate to join our team in Mount Vernon, WA.

You do not need previous insurance experience to get started. If you have experience in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, or another people-focused role, we can help you learn the insurance side of the business.

This is an in-office sales position for someone who enjoys talking with people, is comfortable picking up the phone, and wants to grow in a performance-driven environment.

You will have the tools, leads, training, and support to succeed. What you bring is the drive to learn, follow up, and consistently have conversations with prospective customers.

No insurance experience? That's okay.

We are more interested in finding someone who is coachable, motivated, comfortable working with people, and ready to learn. We will help you understand the products, sales process, and insurance industry.

This is a full-time, in-office position in Mount Vernon, Washington.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Connect with prospective customers by phone, email, and text

• Follow up with leads provided through our CRM and prospecting systems

• Quote and sell insurance products, including auto, home, life, and commercial coverage

• Ask questions to understand each customer's needs and recommend appropriate coverage

• Build relationships with new and prospective clients

• Keep accurate notes and customer information in our CRM

• Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the sales process

• Learn Farmers products, systems, and sales processes

• Work toward individual and team sales goals

• Continue developing your sales and insurance knowledge through coaching and training

Requirements

• Are comfortable making outbound phone calls and following up with leads

• Communicate clearly and professionally

• Are organized and able to manage multiple follow-ups

• Are coachable and willing to learn

• Can work full-time in our Mount Vernon office

• Are willing to obtain the required Washington insurance licenses

Insurance experience is not required.



Candidates must be willing to study for and pass the required Washington licensing exams, including Property & Casualty and Life, Disability & Health. We provide guidance and study resources throughout the process.
