Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwasher or by hand. Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition. Essential Functions Essential functions as defined are ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and not a comprehensive listing of all functions and duties performed by incumbents within this classification. Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: Inspects kitchens and storerooms to ensure that premises and equipment are clean and in order, and that sufficient foodstuffs and supplies are on hand to ensure efficient service. Examines incoming purchases for quality and to ensure that purchases are as specified in order. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and/or skill required. Food and beverage products, menus and promotions. Policies and procedures of the department. Customer service principles and practices. Correct business English, including spelling, grammar and punctuation. Physical/Mental Requirements This position requires the ability to stand and walk for the duration of the work shift. While performing duties of this job, the associate is required to the stamina to stand, stoop, squat, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects for extensive period of time; strength to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
