Registered Nurse Cath Lab

The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab will work four 10-hour shifts per week. The shift will be from 07:00 to 17:30 on various days of the week. Weekends will be required for coverage based on unit needs, typically Friday through Sunday. Nurses must be comfortable with on-call requirements as determined by unit needs. Travelers may float to similar units based on facility requirements. Charting will be performed using Epic software. Patient ratios are typically 1:3. Specialized equipment includes Acist, Manifold, Impella, Zoll and Lifpak, and Balloon pump. Job responsibilities include supporting the interventional cardiology team, performing diagnostic catheterizations and procedural sedation administration. Candidates should be knowledgeable in activating clotting time (ACT), antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and infection prevention. Travel experience is required for this position. Call and holiday coverage is mandatory. The unit may support occasional vascular cases and preparation for interventional radiology.
