Job Description

Johns Hopkins currently has an opening for a Workday Integration Developer who specifically has strong hands on experience with Extend. They are looking for candidates who have worked enterprise level projects and NOT techno-functional. This is a long term contract position so they are open to visa candidates (no layers).

Overview


We are seeking an experienced Workday Integration Developer with a strong focus on Workday Extend to design, build, and support enterprise-grade integrations and custom applications within the Workday ecosystem. This role will play a key part in developing scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions that support HR, Payroll, and Financial business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Workday integrations using:
  • Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and REST/SOAP APIs
• Build and support Workday Extend applications to deliver custom business functionality and user experiences
• Collaborate with functional teams (HR, Payroll, Finance) to translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Develop API-driven integrations and data flows to connect Workday with external and third-party systems
• Design and implement data transformations using XML/XSLT and related technologies
• Support full integration lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
• Configure and troubleshoot integration errors, monitor performance, and implement enhancements
• Ensure data security, compliance, and adherence to enterprise integration standards
• Create and maintain technical documentation and integration designs
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors on integration initiatives

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Workday Integrations development
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors
  • REST/SOAP APIs and web services
  • XML, XSLT, and data transformation
• Recent experience building or supporting Workday Extend applications (custom apps, workflows, UI enhancements)
• Strong understanding of Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll, Financials, or Recruiting
• Experience supporting the end-to-end integration lifecycle
• Strong troubleshooting and production support experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Workday Integration or Extend certification
• Experience with Workday Orchestrations and Cloud Connect
• Exposure to enterprise ERP integrations (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
• Experience in regulated environments (Healthcare, Financial Services, etc.)
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies
