Lead Medical Support Assistant

Responsible for completion of administrative functions and providing management support activities to the Administrative Support section supported project/area.

Provides comprehensive staff support in the development of short- and long-range policies and plans in Community Care for the accomplishment of the Medical Center's program goals and objectives.

Responsible for independently organizing the work structure of his/her assigned areas to include assignment of personnel, assessment of acuity level and work volume, conducting reviews of scheduled appointments and consults not meeting Office of Community Care metric goals, data validation and reporting as well as ensuring quality assurance issues are addressed in a timely, high-quality manner. Incumbent oversees the assignment of the Administrative Support section staff to achieve optimum Veteran care, taking into consideration abilities of individual staff members.

Responsibility for supervision, direction, reporting, coordination, and training of all activities associated with community care administrative duties and responsibilities.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases

Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a child.

Child Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66
