Stockroom Clerk

Adecco Staffing is assisting a great company in Newburyport to find a qualified Stockroom Clerk! This is a temp to hire opportunity.

Hours : 7:30AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday

Pay: $20-$23/hour DOE

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Stockroom Clerk to bridge the gap between our physical inventory and our production data. The primary responsibility is the formal closing of manufacturing jobs within our system, ensuring all materials and labor are accounted for according to our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). You will also support the front-end of the production cycle by assisting with job creation and kitting materials for the floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Job Reconciliation & Closing: Review completed manufacturing orders to ensure all parts used are accurately deducted from inventory. Close out jobs in the ERP system in strict accordance with company SOPs.
• Production Support: Assist the Production Control Supervisor in generating new job orders and printing required documentation (travelers, pick lists, and labels).
• Kitting & Staging: Pull, count, and package raw materials and components into "kits" for the production team. Ensure all kits are organized and delivered to the correct work centers on time.
• Administrative Compliance: Maintain neat and accurate records of material transfers and job status updates to ensure full traceability.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-2 years in a stockroom, warehouse, or manufacturing environment (experience with Job Closing or Production Control is a major plus).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP/MRP software and Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot small discrepancies in part numbers or quantities that could impact production costs.
• Knowledge: Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Physical: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
