Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients in the LDR setting according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in patient management.
- Monitor labor and delivery patients, administer appropriate medications, and respond to changing clinical conditions; support OB triage as indicated.
- Document care accurately, maintain patient safety, and provide patient and family education as appropriate.
- Collaborate with the obstetric team to ensure smooth transitions through labor, delivery, and recovery phases; postpartum, infant care, and ambulatory birthing centers are outside the department scope.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California (CA)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN)
- Experience in labor and delivery or obstetric nursing preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital setting
- Willingness to travel for a 13-week assignment and adhere to travel nursing requirements
