Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a prominent business in the Lee County MS area is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team! This customer is offering a wide range of perks such as full benefits, 401K, and profit sharing!


Accounting Specialist Job Summary:


• Pay: Salaried


• Shifts Available:1st shift M-F

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and manufacturing-related costs.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and vendor accounts.
• Support inventory cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Review and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting documentation.
• Monitor and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting procedures, and internal controls.
• Assist external auditors and provide requested documentation.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities as needed.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and accounting software preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
