Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - NICU - 360255We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our Level III NICU team in Shreveport, LA. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside a highly collaborative group of neonatal providers dedicated to delivering exceptional care to critically ill and premature newborns.The ideal candidate will have prior NICU experience and be comfortable managing high-acuity neonatal patients in both independent and team-based settings. This role includes a rotating schedule of days, nights, and weekends, providing comprehensive coverage for the NICU service.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide advanced neonatal care for patients in a Level III NICUEvaluate, diagnose, and manage critically ill and premature newbornsParticipate in delivery attendance, including high-risk deliveries and C-sectionsPerform neonatal assessments, stabilization, and ongoing managementCollaborate closely with neonatologists and multidisciplinary care teamsRespond to urgent and emergent neonatal situationsMaintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMRProvide education and support to families throughout the NICU stayQualificationsCurrent licensure as a Neonatal Nurse PractitionerNational certification as an NNPPrevious NICU experience requiredCandidates with prior NICU nursing experience may be considered depending on overall background and trainingStrong clinical judgment and ability to function independently in high-acuity situationsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsPractice HighlightsLevel III NICUEstablished team consisting of 2 Neonatologists and 4 Advanced Practice ProvidersWork alongside a highly respected and supportive physician groupCollaborative culture with strong provider retention and excellent team dynamicsBalanced scheduling with shared coverage responsibilities among providersDay shifts include direct physician collaboration; overnight providers have physician call support availableSchedule & CompensationRotating schedule consisting of 12-hour shiftsMix of days, nights, and weekendsSchedule designed to provide equitable distribution of coverage among providersCompetitive compensation based on experienceComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, malpractice coverage, PTO, CME allowance, and a 403(b) retirement plan with employer match
