Welcome to The Rustic
The Rustic is coming to Grandscape in The Colony, and we're building our opening team. Born in Uptown Dallas, The Rustic is a Texas original where live music, wood-grilled food, and ice-cold Texas beer come together under one roof. Guests come for local musicians every night, hand-crafted American favorites like The Rustic Burger and Texas Hot Chicken, premium cocktails, daily happy hour, and family-friendly weekend brunch. Whether it's a night out with friends, a birthday, or a lazy Sunday brunch, The Rustic brings together good food, good music, and good people.

The Role
Our line cooks are the backbone of The Rustic. You'll prepare our wood-grilled, hand-crafted menu to exact specifications, keep your station running smoothly, and work side by side with the kitchen team to get every plate out right and on time. As part of the opening team, you'll train with us from day one and help build the standards for a brand-new kitchen. If you take pride in your craft, stay calm when the tickets stack up, and want to play a key role in Creating Remarkable Memories for our guests, we want to meet you.

Compensation: competitive hourly wage.

What You'll Do

• Set up and stock your station with everything needed for service

• Prep ingredients for service, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces

• Cook menu items to recipe and plating specifications in coordination with the kitchen team

• Ensure every plate for a table comes out together, at high quality, and on time

• Maintain proper line amounts throughout the shift

• Follow direction from the Kitchen Manager and support daily kitchen tasks

• Clean your station and properly label and store food at the end of each shift

• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety standards

• Keep a positive, professional approach with coworkers and guests

What We're Looking For

• Line cook experience preferred, especially in a high-volume kitchen

• Solid understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures

• Experience on a grill or wood-fired grill is a plus

• Accuracy and speed under pressure

• Familiarity with kitchen best practices and food safety

• Strong teamwork and communication

• Texas Food Handler Certification

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and work for full shifts in a hot, fast-paced kitchen

• Ability to lift and carry up to [50] lbs

• Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and brunch shifts
