About the Role

The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel with a focus on construction and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) to join their dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will be a key partner to executive and operational leadership, providing strategic legal guidance on a wide range of complex and high-impact matters. This role involves the drafting, review, and negotiation of various agreements, including EPC, construction, engineering, and design contracts, as well as managing commercial disputes and advising on labor and employment issues. The Senior Counsel will also play a critical role in supporting corporate governance, compliance, and risk management initiatives, and will be involved in M&A, financing transactions, and strategic business activities. Applicants for this position should have a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, be licensed and in good standing in Texas or another approved U.S. state, and have a minimum of 8 years' legal experience, with a strong background in large construction or EPC projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex agreements, and a combination of law firm and in-house experience is preferred. The role requires a proactive, confident, and collaborative legal professional with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, who is business-minded and pragmatic in their approach to legal problem-solving. The Senior Counsel will be expected to be a strategic thinker, capable of balancing legal risk with business objectives, and to contribute to the company's enterprise risk management and compliance programs.
