Performed uncomplicated technical procedures and utilized a variety of technical equipment and supplies, including patient transport, specimen transport, blood and blood products transport, and inventory management. This position requires initiative, the ability to prioritize demands, and the ability to work in a team environment. Responsibilities include participating in a collaborative team, training and evaluating peers, scheduling work, and assisting in administrative functions of the unit. Jacobs Medical Center’s Hematology and Cellular Therapy unit offers the only Blood and Marrow Transplant program in San Diego affiliated with a renowned School of Medicine and accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Hematopoietic Therapy (FACT). The unit focuses on Blood and Marrow Transplant, cellular therapies such as CAR‑T, and serves patients with hematological malignancies on a 36‑bed private room unit. Diseases treated include lymphoma and Hodgkin’s disease, acute and chronic leukemia, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, testicular cancer, aplastic anemia, autoimmune and genetic diseases. Minimum Qualifications Active California CNA license. BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within six (6) months of hire date. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and communicate patient status and/or safety changes such as vital signs abnormalities in a timely, clear, and efficient manner. Preferred Qualifications Two (2+) or more years of CNA experience in an acute care setting. Previous video monitoring experience. Experience with EPIC, UCSD Paging & Scheduling Systems. Knowledge of medical terminology. Bilingual: Spanish/English. Special Conditions Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre‑employment physical. Per diem shift requirement is an average of one shift per week per four‑week schedule. Must be available for one weekend shift per four‑week schedule and required to work one of the following holidays per year: Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day, and one of the following holidays per year: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Eve, per rotational schedules or department needs. Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $65,396 - $65,396 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $31.32 - $31.32.
