Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.In the role of Plumbing Designer, we'll count on you to:Perform engineering assignments under the direct supervision of a licensed engineerDesign tasks involving judgment in evaluating, selecting and applying engineering techniques and proceduresProduction of design drawings and construction documents through the use of computer aided design and other softwarePreparation of design or quantity calculationsPreparation of specifications and contract documentsCoordination with other disciplines as necessaryOther duties as assigned by the supervising engineerPreferred QualificationsASPE Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) credential strongly preferred.Bachelor's degree in engineeringA minimum of 3 years experience in mechanical system design of commercial, institutional, or federal buildingsExperience with the design of healthcare, laboratory, data center, aerospace, and/or federal/DOD facilities.Preference given to candidates currently residing in the Mid-Atlantic (VA/MD/DC) AreaRequired QualificationsAssociate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experienceA minimum of 5 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supportedAptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supportedKnowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supportedProficient with Microsoft OfficeGood verbal and written communication skillsAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe HDR is our company.
