Store ManagerRural King is seeking a Store Manager to lead store operations, sales, profitability, customer experience, and associate development. This role is responsible for executing the store business plan, analyzing performance, driving in-store and omnichannel sales, and building a high-performing team.The Store Manager leads with Rural King's Values of People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement while maintaining high standards for safety, compliance, merchandising, inventory, and customer service.Related Job TitlesStore Manager • Retail Store Manager • General Manager • Store Operations Manager • Retail Operations Manager • Store Director • Store Leader • Retail General ManagerResponsibilitiesWhat You'll DoStore Operations & Business PerformanceLead daily store operations and execute strategies to achieve sales, profitability, productivity, and customer service goals.Manage store P&L, expenses, labor, inventory, cash control, and operational resources.Analyze sales, inventory, labor, and customer data to identify opportunities and improve business results.Drive sales growth, market share, BOPIS, online orders, and omnichannel engagement.Oversee merchandising, pricing, inventory accuracy, product availability, and store presentation.Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.Leadership & Associate DevelopmentRecruit, hire, onboard, coach, and develop Assistant Store Managers, Department Managers, and associates.Set performance expectations, provide feedback, recognize results, and address performance opportunities.Build a positive, high-performing team and develop talent for succession and career growth.Lead by example and reinforce Rural King's leadership principles and values.Customer Experience & CommunityDeliver an exceptional customer experience through strong service, product knowledge, and sales execution.Build the store's local presence through social media, store events, vendor partnerships, customer training, and community engagement.Monitor customer feedback and trends to improve service and store performance.Safety, Compliance & Loss PreventionMaintain a safe, clean, organized, and compliant store environment.Lead efforts to reduce shrink, inventory loss, operational risk, and cash discrepancies.Ensure accurate inventory, pricing, cash controls, and asset protection practices.Maintain the building, grounds, equipment, and merchandise to company standards.What We're Looking For2+ years of retail management, store management, general management, or retail leadership experience preferred. Proven ability to lead, coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.Experience with retail operations, sales, P&L, merchandising, inventory, customer service, scheduling, and loss prevention.Strong business, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.Ability to analyze performance and implement strategies that improve sales and profitability.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, POS systems, retail technology, and inventory management systems.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and a 50-hour workweek based on business needs.Must meet federal requirements to qualify for a Federal Firearms License (FFL), when applicable.QualificationsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods.Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, handheld devices, and other retail equipment.Ability to navigate all areas of the store, including stairs and outdoor areas.Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and electronically.Close vision required for computer-related activities.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.Why Join Rural King?At Rural King, our people are the foundation of our success.
