Store Manager Trainee

Job Summary Your natural leadership skills and ability to inspire teams to deliver exceptional customer service make you an ideal candidate for the Store Manager in Training position at Dollar Tree. You will engage in on‑the‑job training to learn how to manage the profitable operations of your assigned store while maintaining high standards for merchandising, placement, and store signage. Responsibilities Recruit and hire store associates to serve our customers. Foster the growth and development of associates through training on operations and merchandising, while coaching and correcting when appropriate. Oversee and delegate all store activities to ensure smooth daily operations. Ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, while enforcing company policies and procedures. Perform opening and closing procedures as needed. Implement operational and merchandising direction communicated from corporate headquarters. Help the store reach its maximum profit contribution. Protect company assets. Maintain a high level of customer service across the store. Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of 3 years of prior retail management experience (preferred). Experience with hardlines or variety merchandise; big‑box experience is a plus. Strong productivity management skills in freight processing. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills. Ability to work in a high‑energy, team environment. Must be able to lift between 30 to 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height, and meet the demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
