Transports patients when needed. Observes universal precautions consistently. Wears proper personal protective equipment when appropriate. Maintains a clean, well-groomed appearance consistent with dress code. Understands the importance of the integrity of the archive. Follows established downtime processes when necessary. Performs all post-processing procedures on the workstations. Carries out all necessary functions on the quality control workstation.Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:Technical skill in medical scanningUnderstanding of cross-sectional anatomy and 3-D knowledgeProficient computer skills with PACS, HIS/RIS, and workstationsKnowledge of power injectors and CPRWorking Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:Must be capable of manipulating equipment and evaluating proper exposure factorsEvaluates images, lifts, moves, and transports patientsCapable of continual standing and walkingAdapts to stressful and emergent situationsPossesses good communication skillsEquipment Used:Proficient in the use of CT scanners, power injectors, and computersGeneral Comments:This position is a replacement for permanent staff.
