Hospitals, hotels, schools, bridges, airports and more.****Come build a career you believe in.****About the Role**As a **Millwright/Mechanic** at **Zekelman Industries**, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing tube mill production equipment to ensure maximum efficiency, uptime, and product quality. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safe, efficient operations in an industrial manufacturing environment. It’s an ideal role for individuals who thrive on problem-solving, hands-on maintenance work, and ensuring equipment reliability.**What You’ll Do*** Perform safe, effective mechanical maintenance and repair of tube mill production equipment in accordance with company safety policies and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.* Inspect, monitor, and document equipment conditions using both manual and computerized maintenance management systems.* Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings to perform accurate equipment repairs.* Utilize hand tools, power tools, cranes, hoists, measuring devices, and testing equipment effectively and safely.* Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues to identify root causes and determine corrective actions.* Perform breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance, and equipment changeovers to ensure continuous production.* Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring housekeeping is audit-ready following each task.* Provide guidance and support to co-workers and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding equipment or safety concerns.* Report any unresolved safety, quality, or operational issues to your supervisor promptly.* Perform other duties as assigned by management.**Who You Are*** High school diploma or equivalent required.* Proven mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.* Ability to read blueprints, use measuring tools, and operate both hand and power tools.* Experience with cranes, hoists, and mechanical systems in an industrial or manufacturing environment.* Comfortable using computerized maintenance management systems.* Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety and collaboration.**Physical Abilities*** Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, and use hands to handle or feel equipment and materials.* Must be able to lift up to 60 lbs and perform climbing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling tasks.* Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts, fumes, and loud noise levels.* Regular, full-time, on-site attendance is required per the posted schedule.**What You’ll Get**Zekelman Industries offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits, including low-cost, high-quality medical and dental benefits.
