Become a part of our esteemed Hospital Medicine program as a full-time Nocturnist Hospitalist in Erie, Pennsylvania . This fulfilling role allows you to provide care for a varied and intricate patient demographic at a premier regional referral center serving northwest Pennsylvania. Collaborate with a supportive team of seasoned hospitalists, backed by dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), strong physician leadership, and established clinical programs. • Work Schedule: 4 days on, 6 days off (12-hour shifts)
• ICU Status: Closed ICU
• Trauma Center: The only one within a 100-mile radius
• EMR System: Integrated Epic EMR
• Annual Patient Volume: Approximately 26,900 patients
• Advanced Provider Support: Daily coverage by Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners
• Nocturnal Coverage Team: Comprises five Nocturnists
• Admissions Management: Average of 8-12 admissions per shift, supported by a robust team-based care model
• Overnight Staffing: Two Nocturnists and one APP to ensure shared workload and clinical support
• Residency Programs: Includes ENT, Neurology, Emergency Medicine, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Hand Fellowship

Qualifications:

• MD/DO from an accredited medical institution
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine or inpatient-focused Family Medicine Residency Program
• American Board Eligible or Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Ability to secure an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and necessary credentials
• DEA certification
