Traveling OB/GYN Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech

We are seeking an experienced OB/GYN Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist to support Maternal Fetal Medicine services at a hospital in Winchester, VA. The clinician will perform obstetric and gynecological ultrasound examinations, including transvaginal and abdominal studies, for high-risk obstetrical patients. The role requires independent operation of diagnostic ultrasound equipment, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record, and collaboration with the care team to support diagnostic and procedural needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in a relevant specialty required.
• BLS (AHA only) required.
• 1+ year of experience as an OB/GYN sonographer with documented Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) imaging experience. It must be shown on work history or résumé.
• Associate degree in diagnostic medical sonography from an accredited program required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Competence in performing transvaginal and abdominal obstetrical ultrasounds and in operating ultrasound equipment within the sonographer scope of practice.
• Experience with EPIC or similar EMR preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sonography or related field.
• Prior experience providing ultrasound guidance for procedures in a high-risk obstetrical setting.
• Familiarity with billing documentation practices for ultrasound services.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 08:00-17:00.
• Workweek: Monday through Friday.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• No weekend hours required.
• No on-call or call requirements.
