What You’ll Do:

• Provide primary care services to detainees at a correctional facility
• Conduct physical assessments, initial and follow-up evaluations
• Manage acute and chronic conditions across all age groups
• Assist with as-needed medical emergencies and coordinate care
• Review and approve outside referrals and specialist consultations
• Supervise and collaborate with nursing, pharmacy, and medical staff
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and Privacy Act policies
• Participate in facility quality improvement activities and staff training
• Respond promptly to medical needs during scheduled shifts and on-call rotations

What You Need:

• Valid medical license and DEA registration in Louisiana
• 1+ year of clinical experience, preferably in detention or residential healthcare settings
• Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office Suite
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certifications
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing schedules, and serve a diverse patient population
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required
