What You’ll Do

• Provide direct primary care services to detainees in a correctional facility
• Conduct physical assessments and manage chronic and acute conditions
• Oversee and collaborate with medical staff, including APPs and nursing
• Review and approve referrals, lab results, and patient records
• Respond to medical emergencies and develop care plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with HIPAA and facility policies
• Participate in performance improvement activities and team meetings

What You Need

• Valid medical license in Louisiana and DEA certification
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in primary care
• Proficiency in electronic health records systems
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong communication skills and cultural competence
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
