Laboratory Specimen Processor - Per Diem
$17.75 - $20 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a per diem specimen processor for its Raritan, New Jersey laboratory. The role involves preparing, identifying, and routing biological specimens for testing during overnight shifts (Wednesday–Friday, 9pm–3am). The position offers flexible part-time hours with potential for up to 20 hours weekly.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and route to appropriate staging areas
- Unpack, identify, label, and pack specimens with accuracy
- Perform timely data entry of patient information in laboratory systems
- Document and resolve issues with problem specimens
- Meet department production goals and specimen processing turnaround times
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfort handling biological specimens and identifying them accurately
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environment
Compensation: $17.75–$20/hour plus shift differential
