Sentara Hiring Patient Care TechnicianSentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Neuro/Stroke Medicine Unit 2 East.Hours/Shift: Full-time, Days, approximately 7am to 7pmDepartment/Position Overview: Are you looking for an amazing, super-friendly family-oriented unit? Come join our 21-bed med/surg/stroke unit with a strong and supportive leadership team, specializing in stroke care and other acute neurological conditions. 2 East: We've got all the brains!Patient Care Technicians are unlicensed staff members who are accountable to, and work under the direct supervision of a professional nurse to implement delegated aspects of nursing care. Provide patient care, support the admissions and discharge process, and comply with patient safety practices under the direction of the professional nurse. Observe patients' physical, mental, and emotional conditions and report any change to the nurse. Education High School Diploma or EquivalentCertification/Licensure: American Health Associate BLS Certification required within 90 days of hire.
