Midway Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented QA Technician to support quality and food-safety standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

POSITION DETAILS

• Pay: $22.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Hours: Vary between 6:00 AM and 4:30 PM
• Must be flexible to work different hours within this timeframe and overtime as needed
• Work is performed primarily on the production floor

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collect and test samples of raw materials and finished products
• Perform quality checks, pre-operational inspections, and daily HACCP checks
• Conduct equipment, production-tool, and environmental swabbing
• Monitor employee compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Test viscosity, moisture, pH, bulk density, and other product specifications
• Review and approve labels and receiving documentation
• Perform routine calibration of laboratory equipment
• Enter testing results and maintain accurate records in Excel
• Assist with Certificates of Analysis, product holds, and disposition documentation
• Maintain QA samples, supplies, and equipment
• Perform additional quality and laboratory duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous quality assurance experience is preferred
• Previous food-manufacturing experience is a plus
• Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment, HACCP, GMP, SQF, or OSHA standards is a plus
• Strong reading, writing, math, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to multitask and work effectively with different departments
• Must be detail-oriented, proactive, and safety-conscious

PHYSICAL AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull throughout the shift
• Work is performed in a dry and dusty production environment
