Family Law Associate

The Geller Law Group is an award‑winning, mid‑size law firm in Northern Virginia looking to hire a Family Law Attorney. This position is a hybrid, full‑time role. Virginia law license is required, DC and/or Maryland is a bonus. Our mission is to provide clients with an exemplary level of legal services and expertise at an affordable rate. Details Must be a self‑starter and possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Our expectations include that you have the ability to quickly learn new tasks, think ahead, work independently, be detail and deadline oriented, and work well with others. Required Skills & Experience 2-5 years of family law experience. (Civil litigation experience will be considered for less experienced applicants) VA law license is required. DC &/or MD a bonus. Ability to supervise work performed by paralegals. Familiarity with the courts of Northern Virginia. Self‑motivated, able to work both independently and collaboratively, and think outside of the box. Analytical and critical thinking skills are required. Assisting in drafting, discovery, motions, trial preparation, and trials. Capable of clearly expressing written and oral ideas with proper grammar, formatting, and professionalism. Ability to manage changing deadlines, client demands, work for multiple partners, and multiple cases. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Excellent attention to detail. Effective time management, planning and organization skills to accomplish tasks in a timely manner are needed. Preferred Skills & Experience Comfortable working remotely and familiar with the technologies involved in a hybrid environment. Able to balance multiple client matters and understand the importance of deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Highly trustworthy and discreet; and Common sense and good judgment. Salary Range $120,000 – 140,000 (Compensation commensurate with experience).
