ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR

Position Summary Belmont Abbey College invites applications for the current position of Admissions Counselor. The role is a full‑time, twelve‑month position that manages, plans, coordinates, and participates in all recruitment programs and related activities to provide a representative applicant pool and achieve enrollment objectives. The Admissions Counselor assists the Director of Admissions in day‑to‑day responsibilities of the Admissions office and contributes to the vision and outreach strategies of the office in conjunction with the College’s vision and strategic plan. The candidate manages an assigned group of prospective students, travel budgets, and travel arrangements, maintaining weekly communication with prospective students throughout the enrollment cycle and attending all on‑campus recruiting events. Job Responsibilities Manage, plan, coordinate, and participate in all recruitment programs and related activities. Assist the Director of Admissions with day‑to‑day responsibilities and contribute to outreach strategies. Manage assigned group of prospective students, travel budgets, and travel arrangements. Maintain weekly communication with prospective students throughout the enrollment cycle. Coordinate and attend all on‑campus recruiting events. Qualifications and Expectations Bachelor’s degree; 1 year of experience in an admissions office or on a college campus preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint required. Ability to learn TargetX, SalesForce, and the student information system (SIS) required. Comfortable with public speaking required. Work environment: office setting with odd shifts, up to 50% travel by air or car, continuous computer use, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
