Senior Contracts Administrator Federal Contracts

This is a rare seat with real autonomy: you will manage a complex portfolio of federal contracts end-to-end, partner directly with the CFO and Contracts Manager, and be the go-to expert for project teams across the company.What you'll doIndependently administer a portfolio of federal contracts and task orders (FFP, Cost Reimbursement, T&M) from award through closeout, ensuring compliance and performance at every stageSet up, modify, and close out contracts and task orders in Deltek Costpoint, maintaining audit-ready files and accurate funding recordsAdvise Project Managers and senior leadership on contract requirements, funding status, compliance obligations, and risk mitigationMonitor cost, schedule, scope, and funding performance; identify emerging risks and drive corrective actions before they escalateInterpret and apply FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific clauses; draft practical guidance for both technical and non-technical stakeholdersReview and negotiate NDAs and other routine contractual instruments in support of proposal effortsCoordinate with Accounting, Subcontracts, and Proposal teams to align billing, reporting, and contract administration activitiesWhat you need6+ years of progressive federal government contracting experience supporting DoD and/or civilian agenciesAdvanced Deltek Costpoint proficiency - specifically contract setup, modifications, and funding actionsHands-on experience administering complex contract types: FFP, Cost Reimbursement, and T&M across multiple simultaneous task ordersStrong working knowledge of FAR and DFARS; ability to interpret and apply provisions independentlyBachelor's degree in business administration, contracts management, finance, or a related field (equivalent experience considered)Nice to haveNCMA certification (CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM)Experience supporting proposal efforts and teaming agreementsFamiliarity with DCAA audit processes and contract closeout in a government cost-reimbursement environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Pay & benefitsBase salary: $110,000 - $135,000 per yearEmployee ownership program - build equity in the company you growComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance coveragePaid time off, federal holidays, and a retirement savings matchDedicated budget for professional development and certificationsLocation & scheduleArlington, VA - Hybrid/OnsiteFull-time, standard business hoursBenefitsVacation/PTOMedicalDentalVision401kBonusRelocationTelecommute
