Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianResponsible for regular maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment used in manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities.Duties & ResponsibilitiesRepair malfunctioning equipment units and broken structures.Install machinery systems.Perform electrical systems maintenance.Inspect alarm systems.Maintain plumbing systems.Quality check equipment regularly to ensure everything is in working order.Perform peer-to-peer inspections on work performed by our other maintenance technicians.Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.Read blueprints and survey structures on grounds.Create inspection and repair schedules.Perform light landscaping and grounds keeping work as needed.Perform administrative computer tasks as needed.Act as on-call handyman when needed.Education & TrainingCertificate in related field required.Skills & AbilitiesCompletion of a maintenance apprenticeship program a plus.Experience with technology maintenance required.Electrical experience required.Strong critical thinking and creative skills.Detail oriented and organizational skills.Thorough working knowledge of facility equipment units, their usage, and safety procedures.Ability to manage time and responsibilities independently.Must have a flexible schedule.Willingness to be trained on the operation of power and/or hand tools.Ability to Stand 8 Hours/DayLifting up to 50 Lbs.Bending, Reaching, Turning, TwistingBenefitsMedical InsuranceLife InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsuranceSupplemental Insurance401(k) PlanPaid VacationPaid PTOPaid BereavementHolidaysBonus ProgramCompany DiscountsJohn Boos & Co. production positions are managed under a Collective Bargaining Agreement which guarantees pay rate, regular increases and other benefits.John Boos & Co. maintains a drug-free workplace.John Boos& Co. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM / 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
