• Customer service: 1 year (Required)
• US work authorization (Required)
• Valid Driver's License (Required)

Full-time Job Description
Next Step Recovery is looking for an experienced peer support specialist to perform multiple tasks related to our small and friendly company in Asheville, NC. As the first point of contact for many residents, this position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as experience in scheduling, transportation, and 12-step knowledge. The ideal candidate will be apart of a team, organized, able to prioritize and multi-task. The goal is to ensure all compliance-related activities are carried out efficiently and effectively to allow daily operations to function smoothly and residents to be pleased by our exceptional service.

Responsibilities

• Answer emails, write shift reports, and communicate with all co-workers
• Attend all staff meetings
• Able and willing to work weekend shifts
• Able to multitask and encourage growth in our recovery community
• Able to be a good role model
• Manage schedules and deadlines

Skills

• SUPER FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE ATTITUDE
• Attention to detail and the ability to adapt thinking styles
• Familiar with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe PDFs
• An analytical mind with problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• A team player who demonstrates a commitment to learning is responsive to constructive feedback, demonstrates a willingness to assume responsibility, and is resourceful and innovative without fear of failure or criticism.
• Web-based or mobile applications
• Prior experience with mental health and substance use disorders
• Prior experience with a small, dynamic business
