Platinum Security is a privately held security company based in West Los Angeles, California. A highly reputable private security company that has been in business for over 20 years with growth as their main focus is looking to add a Human Resources Specialist .

Our office is fast paced, with many activities going on simultaneously. We love what we do and go to great lengths to make ourselves available to our clients. We have offices in Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland and Las Vegas.

Job Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to assist all Human Resources-related issues within the HR Manager. The HR specialist is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

• Ability to effectively explain information to others
• CPR/first aid certification
• OSHA training

Human Resources Specialist Duties:

• Assist HR Manager with managing associates to identify and resolve employee relations? issues, training and recruitment needs, wage and compensation issues, and benefit administration issues.

• Track and ensure all employees are update to date on all necessary training required for their position

• Assist HR Manager in conducting investigations to resolve associate complaints and inquiries, workers compensation claims, and to ensure Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance.

• Ensure Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training is conducted and that the proper safety policies and procedures are in place and are followed by associates.

• Assist HR Manager in managing the disciplinary process within the company, including associate discharge.

• Maintain records to track associate attendance.

• Monitor associate compliance to Platinum Security policies and procedures communicated by the corporate office.

Job Type: Full-time, In Person, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Human Resources: 2 years (Required)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)
• SHRM (Preferred)
