Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Augusta, GA. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in healthcare and commercial facilities, following applicable codes and safety standards. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams, running conduit and wiring, setting up panels and circuits, and performing routine and preventive maintenance. The role involves troubleshooting electrical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing effective repairs to minimize downtime and ensure reliable power. The electrician will collaborate with project managers, other trades, and facility staff, maintain accurate documentation of work performed, and support inspections and testing of electrical systems. Qualifications Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and electrical principles relevant to commercial and healthcare environments. Hands-on experience in electrical work, including installation of wiring, panels, lighting, and power distribution systems. Skills in maintenance & repair and troubleshooting of electrical systems, equipment, and components. Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts as they apply to system layouts, load calculations, and code-compliant design. Working knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC), local codes, and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Relevant trade school education, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent experience; state electrician license or certification preferred. Capability to use hand and power tools safely, work at heights or in confined spaces, and handle physically demanding tasks. Reliable communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in healthcare or other mission-critical commercial settings is a plus. Must possess a valid, current driver’s license and have reliable personal transportation to and from job sites.
