Receiver PositionWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Receiver to join our team in Tonawanda, NY. The Receiver plays a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials into our facility. This position is responsible for inspecting incoming shipments, verifying documentation, recording deliveries in inventory systems, and coordinating with other departments to keep operations running efficiently.Essential Job FunctionsVerify contents of shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and other documentation.Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or quality concerns; escalate issues as needed.Accurately record all receipts in inventory management systems.Tag, label, and stage materials for storage or direct distribution to departments.Collaborate with the Crib Attendant, Warehouse, and Maintenance teams to ensure accurate stocking and timely part availability.Use Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and documentation.Assist with cycle counts, physical inventories, and maintaining stock accuracy.Maintain cleanliness and organization in receiving and storage areas.Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment (training/certification provided if required).Follow all company safety and security procedures.QualificationsRequired: High school diploma or equivalent.Prior experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory roles.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Basic computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel.Good communication and teamwork skills.Commitment to workplace safety.Preferred: Familiarity with SAP or other Warehouse/Inventory Management Systems (WMS).Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.Experience conducting cycle counts and maintaining accurate inventory records.Work EnvironmentWarehouse/receiving dock environment with varying temperatures and conditions.Essential Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
