Compensation Hourly Wage Estimate: $36.50 - $53.25 per hour. Sign‑on Bonus: $5,000 – $10,000 for select units. Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates. Job Summary The HCA Nurse Residency Program is a year‑long paid program designed to transition graduate nurses into practice through clinical training, preceptorship, simulations, and evidence‑based projects. Responsibilities Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift. Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Document the administration of care in the patient medical record promptly and thoroughly. Administer prescribed medications, monitor therapeutic response, and notify provider as needed. Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to resolve them pro‑actively. Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures. Qualifications Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the state. No previous experience required. Some travel may be required for training.
