Pittsburgh area general contractor in need of an experienced Estimating Coordinator. The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the estimating team throughout the bid process by monitoring bid opportunities, organizing project documents, maintaining bid trackers and server folders, communicating with vendors, and preparing proposal documents for submission.

Duties to include:

• Monitor, forward, and track all received Invitations to Bid.
• Complete and maintain the job tracker with accurate project information and bid status updates.
• Forward bid opportunities to the estimating lead or the budget estimator for their review and bid/no-bid determination.
• Read through bid documents for important deadlines and requirements, including mandatory walk-through dates, RFI deadlines, bid bond requirements, and bid forms that may require further formatting/correspondence.
• Locate, review, and pull the correct construction documents relevant to each bid opportunity.
• Ensure drawings, specifications, addenda, and other project documents are properly filed and accessible to the estimating team.
• Send invitations to bid to vendors.
• Collect, track, and organize vendor quotes/emails for estimating review.
• Format proposal documents and ensure required information is included before submission.

Requirements:

• Previous like bid/estimating support experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent multitasking skills.
• Ability to manage and maintain multiple bid opportunities, deadlines, and document control.
• Basic understanding of construction drawings, specifications, addenda, bid forms, RFIs, bid bonds, and proposal requirements preferred.
• Proficient software skills to include MSWord, Excel and Adobe with ability to learn additional
