What Your Role Entails

• Performing thorough patient assessments, managing diagnostic testing, and developing tailored care strategies
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues collaboratively with physicians or autonomously, per your credentials
• Educating patients and their families around wellness, prevention, and disease management techniques
• Prescribing medications and therapies as per your professional guidelines

Credentials and Education Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher doctoral degree such as Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications You Will Need

• Valid Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent specialization
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or the ability to obtain these within a 90-day timeframe)
