Key Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant

• Manage month-end and year-end close activities for a portfolio of client accounts as the Senior Accountant
• Review financial statements, balance sheets, reconciliations, and supporting schedules across multiple client engagements as the Senior Accountant
• Prepare financial reporting packages and deliver accurate financial information to clients as the Senior Accountant
• Manage ongoing client communication through multiple client inboxes and serve as a trusted accounting resource as the Senior Accountant
• Review accounting transactions processed in QuickBooks Online and ensure financial accuracy as the Senior Accountant
• Support accrual accounting, revenue recognition, payroll activities, vendor payments, and account reconciliations as the Senior Accountant
• Assist with financial modeling, special projects, process improvements, and client advisory initiatives as the Senior Accountant
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff while collaborating with Accounting Managers on complex accounting matters as the Senior Accountant

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 25 years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, SUMIF functions, and financial analysis
