We don’t stop until we know we’re making a meaningful difference.We are seeking an Electrical Group Lead (PE) to provide both technical and people leadership for a high-performing team delivering some of the most advanced industrial facilities in the world. In this role, you will lead and grow a team of 10–20 electrical engineers and designers, while driving technical excellence across semiconductor manufacturing and other complex industrial projects.What You’ll DoAs an Electrical Group Lead, you will operate at the intersection of technical leadership, project delivery, and people management. You’ll be responsible for ensuring high-quality design execution while developing and mentoring your team.Key responsibilities include:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 10–20 electrical engineers and designers, including performance management, coaching, and career developmentServe as the Electrical Discipline Lead / Design Manager on major projects, ensuring scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives are achievedProvide technical oversight and direction for complex facility electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, and lightingOversee and review design deliverables, including calculations, specifications, and construction documentsDrive design quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across projects and teamsCoordinate resources across projects, balancing workload and supporting business prioritiesPartner with project managers and other disciplines to deliver integrated, high-performing solutionsAct as a trusted advisor to clients, owners, and contractors, providing leadership throughout design and construction phasesLead or contribute to proposals, staffing plans, and project strategy, helping win and successfully execute new workChampion best practices, innovation, and digital design tools (e.g., ETAP, BIM) across the teamThis role requires a leader who can influence at multiple levels, build strong teams, and deliver excellence in both people leadership and technical execution. Here's what you'll need Bring Your ExpertiseHere’s what you’ll need:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering12+ years of experience in building electrical systems designProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseDemonstrated experience leading teams (10+ staff) or managing design groupsStrong background in industrial or semiconductor facility electrical designIn-depth knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC), IEEE standards, and applicable codesExtensive experience with power system equipment (switchgear, transformers, panelboards, generators, UPS systems, etc.)Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage design deliveryStrong communication, leadership, and organizational skillsAbility to work in our Tempe, AZ officeIdeally, You’ll Also HaveExperience in a formal design management or discipline management roleDemonstrated success in resource management, staffing, and team developmentWorking knowledge of Revit/BIM workflows and coordination practicesStrong problem-solving mindset with the ability to drive process improvements and innovationExperience with power system modeling software (preferably ETAP)Why Jacobs?Bring your curiosity, talent for collaboration, and passion for leadership—and we’ll provide the support and opportunities to help you grow and lead at scale.
