Culver Academies is a private boarding school located in Culver, Indiana on the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee. We are seeking a Boat Shop Technician to perform general maintenance and preventative maintenance on Academy owned boats, boat hoists, and piers. This includes painting boats and piers, repairing masts, repairing hoists, and routine mechanical maintenance of boats such as tune-ups, oil changes, and propel and shaft replacement.

Requirements for this position include a High School Diploma or GED, and a valid Indiana driver's license with a good driving record. The applicant must have the physical capability to perform the duties of the position which may include bending, stooping, lifting and carrying a minimum of fifty pounds, climbing stairs, ladders, and masts, must be able to swim, work in confined spaces, and tolerate working in inclement weather. Previous vocational and mechanical training is desired.
