Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individual and small business clients
• Conduct thorough tax planning and consulting to optimize clients’ financial outcomes
• Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and maximize benefits
• Gather and analyze financial data, including income, expenses, and deductions
• Communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and provide guidance on tax-related issues
• Assist clients with IRS audits and resolve tax-related inquiries
• Maintain accurate records of client files and ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in tax preparation and planning
• Proficiency with tax software such as TurboTax, Drake, or Lacerte
• Proficiency with CRM software such as TaxDome
• Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple client accounts
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
