About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience Patient ratio experience of 4-5 Charting system experience required (Epic) Community hospital experience preferred Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Travel experience required Description: Unit details include weekend coverage every other week. Floating will be within facility/scope of practice as needed. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both holidays. If three major holidays fall during the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant in time, the push back is two weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule. Number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the contract length. Expected patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 28. The number of beds in the unit is 28. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The unit is equipped to handle a variety of patient diagnoses and procedures. Staffing type is self-scheduling. Patient ratios are 4 for days, nights, and weekends. Float requirement is within facility/scope of practice. Modules will be completed during orientation and vary by specialty. Compliance documents are due prior to start. All RTO must be finalized at the time of submission.
